modern model A wheels

A friend wants me to help build a gypsy wagon and we are looking for period type wire wheels. I remember about 15 years ago some "KIT CAR" company made a modern version of the Ford Model A, which had modern running gear , I believe from a pinto. I thought perhaps these might be a great donor for the wire wheels if I could find the manufacture of these wire wheels that had a modern bolt pattern- therefore making it easier to locate axle etc. as well. Does anyone know whom made these kit cars or who might be a supplier of these wire wheels that appear like model A's but, have a more modern bolt pattern? Like always appreciate any help/ ideas.

I think the company you are thinking of is Shay. They made pinto powered Model A's in the early 80's, I think. You still see them for sale here and there. I have no idea where the wheels came from.

Model "A" Ford wheels have the identical bolt pattern as an F-150 has. I see lots of Model "A" wheels for sale on Ebay motors in the antique auto parts section. Keep in mind, the 1928-1929 had 21" wheels. the 1930-1931 had 19" wheels.
