transmission problems
Alright, my problem is basically that the guy I bought the truck from put an F350 tranny in it after the stock one broke. But to desribe it further, it won't go into 4th unless the engine's warmed up. The overdrive doesnt work in 2nd gear either. Some guy told me that this could be an electrical problem. What do you all think?
And while I'm at it, there's a humming noise in my engine that gets faster with greater RPM's. I think it's the alternator. Has anyone else ever had that problem

it sounds like and electrical problem with the electronic soleniod on the valve body. have the wires and soleniod checked. The humming could be alot of things. CHek intake hoses to make sure thier tight or could be a pump.
