I searched the archives already, or as much as I was able to anyways, and was wondering this...
I have a squeak now, that is most noticible when the windows are down, and going slow. As you speed up, the squeek speeds up, but once you let off the gas it *seems* to go away. Would this be u-joints? My truck is a 95 x-cab/sb, with a 4" superlift (rear blocks) and a 2" body lift. It has almost 80k on it, and I've owned it since about 31k, and have never (knock on wood) had to replace anything but a serp. belt, wiper motor and tuneup items.
If it is a u-joint, wold it be best to replace all, or just one at a time, or what? and does anyone have any tips or tricks to go about something like this?
Thanks!!!

Hi Brian, by the description of your sypmtom, it does sound like a bad u-joint. as long as you are replacing one u-joint, replace them all. chances are if one is bad, the other(s) are sure to follow. use white grease on assembly so all those little needle bearings don't get scattered.
Yes! U-joints. I would replace the u-joints on both ends since you will have the shaft out. I did the rear on my brothers because of the noise. I was in a hurry and only did the rear end in a pinch. A month later I wound up doing the front joint of the rear shaft. Oh well.
