To those who asked. after a 'mere' 9 weeks, the ford dealership, that broke my fuse panel door has replaced it. Only took them three tries, and as I say, nine weeks...
Sharp as tacks, those boys....
Thanks again for the guys who helped with the part numbers. Without that, they would probably have sent me a glove box door. Lord knows they sent me everything else in the interior but the right part...
I'm thinking of having a garage sale of useless, damaged interior parts they sent me. A man can't have too many broken corner pieces, Right?
Kidding aside, you guys are great.
Thanks again,
Chris
lol Chris kinda reminds me of that Johonny Cash song where he talks about he got that caddy one piece at a time. who knows what those guys would have wound up givin you coulda been a screw or a scab lol
Yes, all the door covers had the same part number, just different colors. I have no clue why they could not figure it out over and over. They actually ordered the wrong part six times. The only shipped wrong parts twice, both times they were poorly packed and got broken. The final time, when they got the right part, I talked them into putting it in a box, not one of those big envelopes. on the interior parts of these trucks, they have rather flimsy 'stanchions' that have clips that plug into sockets. These stanchions have no lateral strength. Very easy to break, working on or if you set it on table and set something on top of it. That's how the shipper kept breaking the parts, which where the wrong ones anyway.
Anyway, it's back to where it should have been all along.
Chris
