were there more than one width?
I thought they were all the same?

If my recent memory serves me right the stock steering wheels of my 69,74,75,and 76 pickups and my 76 bronco all came with that large 16+" school bus sized beast!
Unless your going to put it into a show do what I did and replace it with an aftermarket
one. They're less expensive and depending on which one will look better! My gut thankd me every single time! Lawrence

CleanLX are'nt you asking about the 3/4 ton 16.5 wheels that tires go on and NOT a steering wheel? I have not ever seen them in any width larger then 8"

Yep, wheels for tires, not wheels for bellies .

I got educated at the junk yard today.
seems there were 6", and 6-3/4" 16-1/2" dia. wheels from the factory.
Mine are the 6" ones, and turned out very hard to find... very hard.

If I didn't already have 4 brand new 8.75x16.5 tires, I'd have gave up and gone with 16" aluminum wheels and new tires... but, till these tires are done, I'll hold out with the heavy as heck 16-1/2" steel jobbies.

Next question, is there a 6" wide aluminum wheel made for the 8 stud 3/4 tonne pattern?

Most likely not- you may be able to find one in steel, but you would have to order it. There are 7" rims available, and the truck would actually be more stable due to the sidewalls being straighter.

All of the manufacturers offer something in a 16" 6" or 8" wide wheel. the 8" wide would be the best way to go if you are going to put wider than stock rubber on them.
