I've read a few posts on vibration, but haven't quite found an answer to my problem. I get a vibration once I go over 30MPH and it get worse the faster I go. I was advised to replace my CV joints and balance my driveshaft which I did. Vibration still there. I then was told it was the transfer case. Had it changed out. Vibration lessoned, but still there. I then put new tires and had alignment checked. Less noise still vibrating. The process of elimination is killing my pocket book. Is it the rearend, differential or do I need new rotors and calipers? I don't know. How about an "S" spring in the tranny? I need a little direction here, please.

I'be been getting vibration in the steering wheel...it gets worse between 50 and 65....but it will shake at lower speeds too. Funny..it never happened until dealer replaced upper and lower ball joints and a tie rod.
I'd love some suggestions. The dealer says its the tires...but since it didn't happen befoer (three trips between Utah and Virginia) why does it happen the day after service?

bad vibrations 98 Expe
It feels mainly like in the seat, but the steering wheel also vibrates. It's worse when the transmission shifts into 3rd gear at about 35-40 MPH. I really don't hear any associated noises with the vibration, but there are body squeaks caused by the vibration i.e. muffler sheild and fender squeaks.

dealer found a broken sway bar link. That helped the vibration, but didn't solve it. I figueed what the heck, why not rotate the tires? That actually helped and its is almost smooth again...so maybe the tires were part of the problem.

Same thing on my '98. Had 1 coil pack & 1 O2 sensor replaced. Fixed it for a minute, but the problem came right back. Looking to take it in again with the suspicion that another coil pack or O2 sensor needs to be replaced.
