My drivers side heated seat doesn't work. I bought it used a couple of weeks ago and it didn't work when I bought it and I'd like to figure out why. The passenger side works fine.
On the drivers side, when you push the button the little light on the button comes on but the seat never heats up. Or if it does it's so slight that it's not really noticable. I'm assuming that the heating element is bad? I don't really have any clue how these things work, so some advise would be appreciated.
Can I replace the elements? If so how expensive are they and how hard is it to do? Anything else I should look for/at?
My neighbour has a 99 and he was able to take his seat apart and replace the element. He's not too bright so it can't be that hard. I had a 2000 that failed also but I traded it before I had to fix it.
Must be a problem in the 99's. My 99 Navigator seat heaters do not work either. I posted awhile back and only had one reply. the lights come on, but no heat!
