Fe motor mount help

Ok its not a truck problem, but maybe someone here has an idea. Im using a 64 block, that is going in a 65 galaxie, which had a 66 motor in it. The 66 block had a 3 bolt mount, would not work any way on the 64. So I worked on a set of two bolt truck mounts, but it set my engine 2 inches to far, so i ordered a set that was supposedly for a 64 block, but it set my block up even futher. So either I need the right mounts, or a 64 block wont swap in a 65 car without modification. Anyone done this or know which mounts to get. I know some 65's had to have 64 blocks, Ford didnt just make a whole new batch for em. Any help would be nice before i go looney , Thanks !

I'm having a little trouble following along, but that's not unusual. Drop a line to Hawkrod, he has this stuff emblazed on his brain...

I did this once, a long time ago, put a 64 into a 67 truck. Had to make a steel plate to bolt to the block that the 65 mounts would bolt to.
