Transmission shifting problems
1. On moderate to high acceleration, the transmission shifts really rough on the 3rd shift. The first two shifts are fine.
2. When the overdrive is off, sometimes it will slam really hard into gears. It's an intermittent problem, but when it happens, you sure know it.
3. The first upshift is sometimes a little delayed.
I took it to the dealer, and they weren't able to get any codes or find the problem. After checking my odometer I realized they drove it only a couple miles, so I'm not surpised they didn't locate the problem. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I'm going to take it to another dealer next week, but thought someone might have an idea of what I could tell the dealer when I take it.
Oh and by the way, the dealer told me that they did get a code saying I have been over-revving the engine. I am almost always on the highway, and I am always careful about keeping the RPMs down, so this is not possible. But when I got my invoice, it said that there were NO codes. So I dont know what to believe there.
Thanks for the help!
Does your truck have a VSS? Could be faulty. Also does it do it more often when the truck is cold or hot?
