I appologize if this a repeat of another thread, but what are some of you talking about only putting in 13.5 qts instead of 15. What would be the advantages.
If you do a quick drain, some of the oil doesn't all drain out leaving about 1.5 qts in the engine. So if you put in the amount listed in the manual, then you will be 1.5 qts overfull which could damage your engine. Thus the reasoning for the 13.5 qts. Hope this helps
More specifically, overfilling the engine causes the oil to foam resulting in a rough running engine. It will also try to force out of the engine which will come out of the crankcase vent into the turbo inlet, etc.
