Question Bed Rugs?

Hello fellow FTE members,

Anyone know what a Bed Rug is, and is it durable. Don't haul dirt or gravel in bed have trailers for that. Are they easy to clean. And how much?

Love my Bedrug, heavy duty carpet over custom foam in bed, easy on the knees. Sides and tailgate covered also. Nice to carry skis, camping stuff, etc. I got mine installed whem I got my cap, price was $350 installed.Easy to clean, vacuum or hose it off, tilt truck to drain.

Mine is supposed to be here next Wed...I will let ya know, from what I have seen I looks to be very good. It also is supposed to have a flap that covers the gap when the tail gate is down...and keep it form blowing stuff in when clsoed....

I too have a bed rug in my 04. Love it, installed in the first week. When I haul dirt I put down some cardboard but that's about it. I use a vacuum cleaner after the dirt.. If you install it yourself you can get away with using a lot less of the velcro than it asks for. I have a fiberglass toneau so I don't worry about it flying out. Bought it off the net and looked for free shipping...$290 in February of 04

Mines been on for about a year now, and no sign of wear what so ever....a couple weeks ago I had to haul a little bit of dirt and some concrete....I hated to do it, but I had no choice, but after werds, I just took a brush and a hose, and it became new again, cleaned pretty easily....

I am very impressed with my BedRug - only 6,000 miles so far though. A purchase that I'd definitely make again.

Smile Bed Rugs

Tim,

I'm a Bow Hunter and I intent on spending a night or two in the bed of the truck, after
driving all day to get to a New Hunting location. So thats why I was thinking it would be the way to go with air matress and sleep bag. Just a little more comfortable than a plastic or a spray in.

Dog gone it . I have been torn between the bed rug and a line-x spray in . I thought I made the desicion to get the Line-x . But now reading all the positive post I'm back to being torn between the too . I love the look of the bedrug and it darn near matches the carpeted head liner in my leer cap . Durability was my biggest concern . I am one of the wierd ones that keeps his truck spotless too Tim . Maybe we could start a club .

Go with the Bed Rug....I REALLY like the idea of being able to pull it out, I have been told you can take it to a dollar car wash and spray the heck out of it with no damage at all.
Mine will be cover with a shell so......I hope to never need to do that!

Grizz49...do you think you will need an air mattress, or would it be comfortable enough to throw a bag on top and sleep. I was hoping just a blanket and pillow...

Tim the dealer I bought my leer from had several truck beds in their showroom to display different products . I actually got in the bedrug display and the first words out of my mouth were " Man you could sleep back here . It is very soft IMO . I think a pillow and a blanky is all you would need . Oh , and somebody to read you a story and tuck u in of course . Nighty night .

I've had mine for over a year on my 03 and have had no problems. I put one of those rubber bed mats on top of the bedrug so things don't slide around as much in the bed.

Regarding sleeping on it...I wouldnt recommend it...unless you like to be sore in the morning....dont get me wrong, Its alright to kick back on it for a while, but sleeping the whole night is a no no...Ive had to endure it a few times on my hunting trips....If you have a sleeping bag..then all is good......no need for a mattress......
