Running an over-oiled air filter cannot dammage your fuel injectors but it could cause the engine to run fuel rich which in an extreme cases could thin the engine oil from fuel washing down the cylinder walls but the engine would have been running very poorly and smoking. I would expect that you won't have any problems. Just wash out the filter and re oil it as per manufacturers instructions and keep on truckin'
If you haven't cleaned your throttle body and AirBypass, I would pull them both and go to work with cloths brushes and Intake Medic. You will be amazed to find out their natural metallic color [lol].
If your truck has a Mass Air meter you might not want that oil to get into it......becuz unlike a GM mass air meter that is self cleaning(one reason why they burn out faster than Ford Mass Air Meters).....that oil being pulled thru the MA meter will build up a film on the sensor and it will not give an accurate reading........I have one in my '99 EXPY and I over oiled it and notice it ran a little underpower and mediocre mpg...and was told that was the reason why......cleaned the mass air meter(carefully) and cleaned air filter and re-oiled with proper amount and now runs great
lightly spray electrical contact cleaner thru the orfice inside the mass air meter.......let air dry......then reassemble.......if you don't feel comfortable doing this then don't take it some to some one who is experienced with this sort of thing becuz a mass air meter is not cheap............almost forgot don't over oil your K & N it will just cost you in the long run
