My '73 F100 2wd 390 was kind of a pain to get the headers onto. I had the pickup raised on a hoist and had to loosen the motor mounts and jack up the motor. Then the drivers side slid down from the top and the passenger side slid up from the bottom. On the passenger side I had to remove the starter to get the header in, but reinstall the starter with the header in place but not bolted to the engine - kinda tight there... I would recommend a heat wrap/shield on the starter and good header gaskets - I like the NAPA gaskets. Then be sure to retighten the header bolts several times in the first week of driving and you should have no leaks.

In just put in a set of Doug Thorley on my 79 460 2wd(tralier special),raised the front end off the gound and had to remove the starter.No problem with the sterring box.Had to move the bracket that holds the brake lines,tunred the bracket.Driver side easier than pass side.Took about 4hrs. with beer breaks.
