I haven't "made a socket" but I have used my 1/4" socket set to use these types of bits.

Put some JB Weld in the socket, insert torx bit, let JB Weld set up and there you go.

Use the regular JB Weld not the JB Weld Quick. Make sure socket and bit are clean.

If you clean the socket and bit good it should stay. Rough it up with some sandpaper if you want. I have done it before to get in a tight spot on a jet ski and had no problems. Use plenty of JB Weld.

You can get JB Weld at wal-mart or any auto parts store. They also sale a product called JB Weld prep. to clean prior to using.

JB Weld is a two part epoxy product. Good Stuff.

I have used the regular magnetic bit holders to reach into tight places.
