Only 10 years . My last gasser got that, and my wife is holding me to "It will last me 20"

So, I'm going with bypass oil filtration (oilguard) and coolant filters (dieselsite.com) in order to give it a shot

Who cares about the money? This is a once in a life time truck. I am so glad I got mine. This truck with the SCMT is da bomb for a lack of better words.

It is well worth the money. It drives so nice and tows effortlessly.

Well I am back from NY with the truck. I now have a total of 715 miles on it and I must say it is a joy ot drive. I am averaging just over 17 mpg (by hand and the lie o meter is reading .2 lower). The truck rides great and is very comfortable to drive for 6 hours straight. I have been following the breakin procedure in from the tech folder so my speeds have been from 60-80 mph plus some around town and the first gear accel / decel stuff. $40k is a lot of money but so far I'm thinkin its all good :-)

Hello there!!

I bought my 05 Excursion Diesel one week ago today. I am in deep admiration for this website! I followed the break in procedure to a T and got terrific mileage.
Who says you can not get great mileage from the 6.0??

I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!
