hey im going to be putting a inline filter and temp sending unit on my c6. The directions tell me to put it on the line going to the cooler is that the best place to put it? i would have thought the line going back to the trans would be the best but i really dont know. which line goes where
thanx for the help
You want to know how hot your transmission is running. Not how cool the fluid is after going through the cooler.
If the temperature is too hot coming out of the transmission it is time to stop or at least slow down.
The front fitting is pressure into the cooler. You install the filter in this line as well.
That way you keep any contamination from entering the cooler and getting clogged..

yes the temp sender would be better right out of the tranny, i thought he was wondering about the filter placement, .........and if you have enough junk coming out of your tranny to clog a cooler, a temp gauge and filter wont help you that late in the game, so i believe the filter should be more of a "where will it fit best" thing
