I have a 03 CC 4x4 that I put a 4 inch SuperLift on back in August of 04. I also put the Bilstein 5100 shocks on along with 35" tires. At the time Bilstein did not make a steering stabilizer. So I used the Superlift stabilizer. I was doing a search because the Superlift stabilizer is shot already, and has become very very stiff and makes all kinds of noises when you turn the wheels. Anyway I read in a couple of the threads that Bilstein now makes a Steering stablizer for this application. The only problem is I can't find where it is on there website. Do any of you have any experience with this? If they still don't make them then what brands do you guys like, that last longer than 7 months, or is this the normal length of time before they shoot craps.
I was in the market for a new stabilizer back in January and couldnt find any place that knew anything about a Bilstein stabilizer. I went with Rancho,, Have always heard good things about them and they have been in business as long as anyone. So far seems great, no complaints at all.
I have an '05 Excursion 4X4 (same suspension as the '04 F-250's) with a 4" lift and 33" tires. I had dented in the stock stabilizer already so I put on the Rancho 5000 stabilizer and am happy.
The stabilizer kit itself is not made by Bilstein. There is a kit made by DR and it uses two re-valved Bilsteins. DR may be using their own shocks now, not sure.
