Front End Creaks

I knew something was bnound to happen sooner or later, everytime I get a different car/truck something bad happens within a month. My `86 F150 is going on 2 weeks with me tomorrow and, today something in the right-front started to creak, mostly when I turn right. The ball-joint looks dry,but I can`t fit a grease gun in the tight space to grease it,so I squirted some 20w50 in it for now,but that didn`t seem to help.Anyways,I`m thinking it may need a ball-joint.I had planned to leave on a trip Wendsday and really need it fixed.Anyone else think of what else it "might" be? I`ve narrowed it down to right-front spindle area.

Usually a worn ball joint will cause more of a clunk , metallic sound , not saying that isnt the case with your truck , but the radius arm bushing on that side may be the cause of the noise . Jack the wheel & grasp the tire at top & bottom & try to rock the wheel , any play is usually the ball joints , but also check the wheel bearing for any play if you dont notice the ball joints moving . The right side radius arm bushing is susceptible to heat from the exhaust & it usually fails before the left side .
