I can think of several illegeal things to do with a milk jug in the post 9/11 world. Many things that were just good clean fun will get you in trouble.
My favorite would have to be the one that says "Do not attempt to stop chain saw with hands". I mean honestly for that to be there somone somewhere had to try it, its just commonc sens with a lot of that stuff.

I love how stupid some people can be, I just sit at work and laugh at them, customer service rocks for that point, lol. I love the people that don't know how to start machines that say, "TOUCH HERE TO START".......how do i start it? I think at the age of 21, everyone should have to take an IQ test, and if they score below a certain score, they should be fixed so that they cannot breed. Thats the last thing this world needs, granted, some turn out smart from a set of dumb parents, but there are those that aren't, it's really really sad. I love seeing the cups that say warning contents are hot, when you have a cold drink in them, it's great.
As for the milk crate, set one in front of me, and come see me in 30 minutes, i'll have done something, from the south here
How about the warning label thats been on hair dryers forever, "Do not use while bathing" Seems doing that would be counter productive to me. It also sez, "If dryer falls into tub, don't reach in for it, unplug first" DUH ! You would think that would take out the breaker before the moron stuck their hand in for it. Like 73f350sc said, for these warnings to be placed on things, some idiot must have had a bad experience in doing so.
What is the world coming to? Have there been that many people actually eat the dessicant packs to necessitate a warning label?
If that's the case we need to label everything that's not a food product, and we also need to label the foods themselves-"Warning- This eggplant is intended for oral consumption only, do not insert in ear!"
I'll admit it, I have eaten it before. Not a whole lot, but I did. It was in the bag of beef jerky and we were drunk and, well ya'll can see where this is headed. I certainly wont do it again.
The best warning label I have seen is on the Preparation H, telling you not to eat it. Thats one label I will adhere to.
Working at a power plant in the TVA, we were issued new safety belts for tying off when working above the ground. They had several warning labels riveted to them, one of which said "Do not use for bungee jumping."
Why all the fuss? No one who has used one for bungee jumping has ever complained.
I believe the reason of all those stupid warning labels is that there are as many dumb people as smart lawyers. It takes one of each to drive a company to bankruptcy.
IMO, the best warning labels are issued for the state of California, where virtually everything is known to cause cancer. "This cable might contain traces of lead. Wash your hand every time you connect the camera to your computer". WTF ?? Have you ever seen these labels? It came with every cable in my digicam.

Reason: typo
A friend of mine in tech support emailed me some of the stupid computer ones we have all seen. But there were a few I hadn't, like the woman whose screen said press any key for help, she pressed the key and sat there till someone came over to see why she wasn't working. She said she pressed the key 30 minutes ago and was wondering why they took so long to get there to help her.
common sense is the number one oxymoron in my book.
Give a man a match and he will be warm for a minute, light him on fire and he'll be warm the rest of his life!
The problem with common sense is you try to build something idiot proof and they come up with a better idiot... that's why we have those ID-10-t forms.
