I have talked to the guys in Ft. Worth that make these, they told me at any point that I didn't feel they was worth the 200 bucks they would refund the money, at least for a reasonable time frame.

The question I had about them was what happens when you slow down to stop and go traffic, you know bumper to bumper stuff. I just couldn't see how they would be good like that at all. I see how they work for balancing wheels at much speed. Even with gloobs of mud, ice or whatever.

They have a fluid in them that acts as the dampener for the moving weight media in them that goes to the light side of the harmonic and feathers around from there, once there, they all balance themself out making them happy with things, they work constantly too keeping the smallest amount balanced to the T...The fluid keeps the weight media in place, even when stopped with all the weight up high from the lowest point. They still can move the media around though as needed.

They have sold me on them, as I figure the bearings and other things on the truck would benefit from them, let alone the tires being constantly balanced as things change from mile to mile. Your right though, they ain't cheap by no way, at least with my pocket book LOL. Still I am going to have to do a set of them for my GWE when I get the new tires once the lift and shackle reversal is done.

I did read an article where a Hummer had a set on with a set of the huge tires and it was very impressive. From the start they was unable to get all four tires and wheels balanced that good to start with. Let alone as they run the hummer through its paces in the mud and stuff. They actually pulled all the balance weights they put on them off to do the test at one point.

I know this last set of Goodyear AT/S tires I had a couple of them that we could not get balanced as well as I would have liked, with these centramatic dudes I don't think I would give it a second thought. I also seen with all the mods I have done over the years to this PSD I have now, with the bigger tires and the speed I can run, a good balanced tire is of importance for sure. Before with the larger tires and all I never could pull all the way to the limiter very easy. Now I am all over the limiter and hard LOL and those big unbalanced tires are nasty LOL, they just look for a ditch to run through while doing so, not that I do that often or anything. I just don't want to disappoint any unsuspecting Dodge or Chevy or Ford brother from having a little fun when the need for this accures you know LOL???
Besides smooth and balanced is a big perk for an old guy cruising down the road trying to listen to the CD player with the window down when it gets warm out again LOL...

I was reading an older post on the Cooper Tires you are running, I'm checking them out at coopertire.com, I like the look of the STT, are you using the cooper stt radial or stt and what size, I only see that they go up to a 285/70/R16, I guess they don't make the 295s but hey, it is a 33" tire, the only reason I was looking at the 295s in other brands was because it was a 1/2 inch bigger around. I've been toying with the idea of trying to fit the 305s and 315s but for all it's worth I think I would be better off just going with the 285s, could you please tell me your opinion?

I am running the ST'S,not the STT. There are some pics in my gallery, although they are not the best pics, they dont even do these tires justice. The ST'S come with 20\32nd of tread also,, i couldnt find any other tire that came with that much tread anywhere. They are awesome tires i think,, Like i said before the only complaint i have is they do have a little howl to them on concrete roads. You have to roll the windows down to hear it but it's there. The powerstroke covers it with the windows up. For the price I couldnt find anything better, I only hope they will last at least 50,000 miles.

Thanks for the info, they do look good, I like your truck, the four doors are sweet. My truck looks very similar to your first white one, only PSD/Automatic. I really like the look of the STT, although they might be even louder. Have a good day!

It's generally accepted in the off-road vehicle community that Cooper makes the Pro-Comp tires. I haven't researched that directly, but that's what others have been told. I've noticed that the Pro-Comp mud terrain looks similar to the Cooper mud terrain.

thanks for the FYI, yea I didn't expect cooper to be as aggressive looking tire as it is, especially the STT, but I believe that is there MT version, take care.
