Thumbs down Does anyone else do this?

Beautiful day Sunday, up to 74, sunny, good day to practice horseshoe pitching. But, why not take the car trailer for a ride?? Nice enough to check out the lights, and get any surface rust off the brake drums. Bearings were packed about 2000 miles ago, so we are ready for hauling. All goes well until passing a gas station where they just went up $.04 per gallon. Darn, back to the house. I guess the days of joy riding are over.

nah, i never did that. i have just come to accept that rising gas prices are here to stay. its a part of life like taxes and dieing. i am not going to let it dictate my activities. its not as big a deal as everyone makes it. gas prices should have been this high years ago and should be much higher in this day and age if you consider inflation over the years. i am sure peoples cable bill went up over the years. how many people quit watching tv or disconnected their cable cause of that?

AGREED! Everybody I know complains about gas prices etc. but truth is, we haven't got it *that* bad! It could be worse... It's worse on the West Coast, other countries... but here, everyone panics when they see $2.XX/gal, or a couple cents tacked on to each gallon. I'm not going to start riding my bicycle to work to save a couple bucks considering how much I spend on other, frivolous things. Don't get me wrong.... I'd love to see it back down to $1.50/gal, but I'm not going to hold my breath...

I do every once and a while. I try to avoid filling up on the weekends as gas is typically 5-10 cents more on weekends than during the week around here. Other than avoiding the weekend fill up, gas is still cheap compared to other countries, and you won't get me in a compact car just to save $10 a week.

The wife and I took a joy ride over the week end to get out of the house. Drove close to 75 miles or so. Had a nice after noon, did a little shopping. Ended up getting her new sheep skin seat covers for her Liberty. I'm not gonna let gas prices keep me from doing and going where I want.
