That's horrible!! All things considered, I am very dissapointed. The '96 Powerstroke will do better city driving, and almost the same highway. It also has the 4:10's, so the Honda has no excuse for mileage like that.

They had one of those sitting at a dealer a few weeks ago... it was pink. I mean pink like the color of the truck, it appears that they actually painted this thing pink.

I wouldn't ever buy anything honda made, that includes their ATVs and small engine equipment...but I gotta give them props for making a truck the alternative crowd won't be afraid to be seen in...

Small engines they make some good stuff, I reckon.
ATV's - I have always been a Yamaha man, but I have only heard good things about Hondas.

As for their trucks, yeah, well...

Interestingly, the pink Ridgeline you saw Matt is similar to the add campaign they are running on the Honda Accord Diesel in Europe (appealing to the "alternative" lifestyle)

Honda ATV's are good, but I wouldnt go any farther. Their cars are ugly as sin, and the "trucks" are worse.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think the trunk under the bed is pointless. The whole point of a pickup bed is so you have some place to haul stuff, large and small. Why do you need a trunk, that is probalby only 2ft square if that, under it?? I'll bet more often then not, someone will put something important in their "trunk", and then fill the bed up with something else, and then need to get in into their "trunk" to get something out of it; what do you do then, unload the whole truck??
Honda does make good ATVs and some of the best small engines, cars are good, just haven't the need for one, but they have room to improve on their "trucks".

They havent got any line-up of trucks IMO. They are cars with a little more ground clearance.

I saw one out on the highway the other day, it reminds me of an Explorer SportTrac. It's just a toy truck for people who want to feel like they need a truck. Ford, Chevy and Dodge have nothing to worry about. On a somewhat related note, I saw a Nissan Titan commerical last night where the truck was tearing across the desert carrying a blown race engine in the back.........why would you be 4-wheeling with a 20-30k motor in the bed of your truck? Probably because Titan owners also feel the need to compensate for their vehicular dysfunction.

I talked to a vendor about the Ridgeline yesterday. He's not much of a car guy, but his S2000 was in for service, and the dealer asked him to take a spin in the Ridgeline and give an opinion. I guess they wanted to test a current Honda owner/non truck guy what he thought.

He said it was gutless. Too heavy for the engine. They agreed and said they were really disappointed that Honda gave it such a light duty engine.
