Superchips Programmer model 1715

I know this model programmer changes the speedometer for changes in tire and wheel size, but does anyone know if this in turn will adjust the odometer to be more accurate and exact with the change in tire size?

if speedo is right then odometer should follow. i thought they were linked. i checked mine with gps and mile markers on interstate. yes i have the 1715.

I'm also curious. How much will it change the speedo? Can you put your own settings in or do you have to follow a set of choices? Like I have 31 inch tires with a 3.55 gear blah blah... The reason I'm asking, my speedo is about 30% off from a tranny swap. Will it cover this without an "out of range" error? Thanks

if the gear choice doesnt do it exactly , you can adjust by using tire size. you need to actually measure your tire. not all 31's are 31's. the superchips goes in 1/4" increments form 24" to 38" so setting speedo could pretty much be accurate. so yeah this should fix the problem but only if you have a 99 and up. 97 and 98 need a device just for calibrating speedo.
