Sorry fellas I am just trying to vent a little agrivation. I just got back from my dealer after being told that my vibration problem is my baby. Mind you the truck is perfectly stock and has had the vibration from day one. They have put new tires and wheels, drive shaft, vibration dampner on the frame. But the the steering shimmy(60 to 70 mph) and the vibration in the floor and steering(40 to 50 mph) still exists. I tryed to trade the truck for a f-250 equipted the same way my truck is and they told me they wanted 7000 plus dollars to do so. I made an appointment at another dealer for this week for them to look at it. I am sorry to beat a dead horse but I am just so aggrivated and looking for any imput.
If you feel that your problem is Legitimate and not just your opinion, then don't let 'em bully you. They are obligated to fix legitimate problems (3 tries from same dealer) or replace the defective vehicle. Some times the small dealerships don't see all of the problems that the large dealerships do, if this is the case. Then you might try going to a larger dealership. Good luck!
TJHauler what part of WV are you in & have you tried 1 of the larger dealerships in a reasonable distance from you yet? I am sure this isn't fun but the more you can show you've done all you can to resolve this issue it will pay off. Don't give in to those guys that said its your baby because they sold it to you. What you need to do is go to another shop w/ a POSITIVE attitude & try your best to get them on your side & say its something that could be a safty issue & then once you have that in writing they will have to fix or replace. The biggy is its a safty issue
Remember do not go in to a new shop w/ anything but a POSITIVE attitude. They might be the people that will help you so give them a chance.
I will ask my friend / service manager about what type of things they can do for the vibration. Email me w/ everything thats been tried so far on your truck so I can have it for him.
