carb probs...need help

i've got a stock motorcraft carb, dunnow what the tag says on it..but it pours gas out the top, over the float bowl...how do i stop that?? *shoot the truck and put it out of my misery* 3 weeks and counting since i've driven it and i'm tired of it..someone plz help

Sounds like the needle/seat needs cleaning, or the float needs attention/replacement.

Possibility...ugh...but you just don't know the problems i've had with this thing...i won't go there, i'll just thank you for the help...

I'm gonna fix the carb in the morning...thanx for the info, i'm just sick of everything about the truck, i really shouldn't use this as a rant, first it had a trans problem, where the aod didn't want to change out of second into drive, then it was a battery problem, then an alternator, and another alternator, a wheel bearing after that, and some front brakes, then after i fix all that its the carb...geeze i hate this!!!!!!

carb probs...need help

hey, youre not alone man. i feel your pain. ive been so pissed at both of my trucks lately that i almost wouldnt mind a geo right about now...well, maybe not a geo. we all have our bad days, weeks, and months with our trucks, but in the end it usually turns out all right...well usually. with my trucks, after a bad week i can usually go months totally loving them and having minimal problems before things start to crap out again...id say its worth it in the long run. and a bit of advice...every time i start to get pissed at one of my vehicles and the way i have to work on it, i just remind myself...it's been paid for since day one, and i am saving tons of money by doing the work myself! (and then of course i block out the fact that my gas budget is probably worse than a monthly car payment...) =)
