flow master/cold air intake
Thinking about putting a new flow master exhuast system and a new cold air intake system in my 2000 eddie bauer 5.4l. Any advice on Manufactures for the cold air intake and is this all worth it.

Go with the muffler, the 2 chamber sounds great on the 5.4 and no highway drone. For the intake save you money. This has been discussed at length on hear and not to open a new can of worms, but other than the sound there will be no noticible gain from either addition. A good muffler shop will hit you in the pocket for about 150-200 bucks including muffler for a 3 inch cat back exhaust setup.

I've noticed NO MPG gain whatsoever with my FM 70 & Airaid intake. MPG is still 14 average.
It does sound awesome when I'm passing though!
And there may be some gains up there in those RPMs too.
I did it for the sound, truth-be-told.
