gas leak
i have 96 150 4x4, when i park on a hill with the driverside facing downhill the gas leaks out of the spout just wondering how i could stop that it has a vented cap on it and i would imagine that is why it is leaking, would it fix my problem or would it cause a problem it i put a non vented cap on since it has the vapor cannister on it. any help i would appreciate.

Is this only when it is full? How much of a hill/slant? Have you checked the hose clamps on the hose from the filler to the tank connection? They could be loose. I wouldn't think it should leak out the filler at about less then 45 degrees. The cap should be a pressure vent cap I believe and it should tighten til it ratchets. Just some thoughts - good luck.

when ever the truck is tlted enough for it to get up that far it comes out from the cap never had this problem until i bought a new cap and it is vented don't remember about the old oneguess i will try to put on a new cap.
