How much would a V10 cost extra in a SD?
I think retail it would be around $600-$800.
This would be the best option I think.
They will take a stock HEMI, and with a load on the vehicle, the Dodge wont know where you went.
But its your money, the Dodge isn't a bad vehicle, but I feel the Fords are better built.
Are you looking at a auto or stick in the SD or the Dodge?
How long are you planning on keeping it?
The 5.7 Hemi is indeed a nice sounding engine. My dad brought home an 03 Hemi Ram 2500 last week when we helped my uncle move, and you would have no problem hearing it from around the corner, or up the street. It actually sounded like it had aftermarket exhaust. The Magnum engines do have a distinct sound to them. Especially the old 5.9s. They sound alot louder than Ford or Gm V8s.
Best as always.

No, but I have driven a couple on my trips to the states.
The only company to sell "trucks" officially here is Ford, and we only get the 250 and 350.
We do get a few grey import GM's and Dodges converted to RHD though.
I think the HEMI is a very good motor, and has quite significant low down torque, compared to what some people say, I think it is great in a 1/2 tonne, but it really can't compete with the torque of the V10.
lol you think you are going to push over a lightning you better start looking at hop ups because why would they have the it if a superduty would out run it. that makes no sence. now if you put a big chip in the psd ya but it will take some work i think to make you whoop a V8 stang or other sports truck breed. like the chevy SS or the SRT Ram.
Man, If price is your biggest concern then I would have to say get what you can get. I own an 04 F-150 Fx4 and couldn't be happier with anything else. I love my truck. I've driven Rangers for years and finally graduated to a V8. The new F-150 won't win any land speed records but it WILL pull !!! I know Dodge makes good motors but I don't trust the rest of the truck. I will say I'm glad your not looking at a chittyolet!
I ordered the truck I wanted, it's a F-250 Reg cab, long box 2wheel drive V10. Approx $4000 in options. XLT. Got it for invoice which was just under $28000. With the 2000 rebate it came to just under $26000. Plus tax and license. I only have just over 800 miles on it. Only had it for 2 weeks. Love it!
I would buy an F250 in a heartbeat!!! but only if they were available in a regular cab short bed platform could you imagine how fast you could make that thing!!!
