Has anybody tried the new Tornado fuel efficiency devices that are on the shevles? You pay around $60 for what is a tin cylinder with angled blades inside to swirl the fuel/air mixture and supposedly give you better mileage. It doesent look like much but if it were to get you 5 mpg more at todays REDICULOUS gas prices it would be almost essential. I have heard at least one person claim a signifigant increase.
Go to the store buy one...go to home depot and buy the material to make one. Copy the design and then go return the original for your money back. This way if its crap you only wasted a few bucks for some galvanized stell. in fact you might be able to get some scrap for free from a metal shop or a air conditioning place that make there own ducts.
by the way.umm ..I have this spherical devices you drop in your gas thank and you get like 40HP.....oh yeah the package may say moth bolls but thats a labeling error.
I know a man that had a chevy 3500 dually that he put a 6 inch lift under and some 35in tires. This truck has a 454 in it with an auto trans. He drove this truck in 4 wheel drive all of the time. He got 2.5 mpg he put a tornado in it and he got 3.6 mpg
not much difference but hey when you have something like that ummm i dont think it really helps that much

First mistake buying a chebby
Second mistake driving around in 4wd all of the time
From what I understand, there is a class action lawsuit against them. Just like the Splitfire plugs thing a few years back. I might've tried it if the thing wasn't so expensive.
If these really worked, then Ford and all of the other manufacturers would be buying them up and installing them in new vehicles. Their CAFE problems would be solved. There would be no need for them to spend all of that research money on hybrids and hydrogen fueled vehicles.
FECES BOVINUM ! ! !
The more you disturb an air fuel mixture in motion the more fuel you will send out of suspension in the mixture. Jon Bernule explains that in his paper on fluid dynamics called Hydrica Dynamica, which he wrote in 1738 AD.
The reason EFI is so efficient is fuel does not get added/ mixed until air column enters intake plenum of cyl head.. . . ergo= no motion of air fuel mix as it is gulped into the cylinders imediately on the intake stroke. . . all fuel is inducted, and there's no waste.
Apparently the jerk that bought the one mentioned above doesn't want folks to laff at him for being such an idiot, Or admit he never heard of Bernules principles on fluid dynamics, and has no clue about fuel -air mix induction systems or EFIs either.
Do ya recollect the story about the emporers new clothes? . . . . . Same deal I think.
And lets leave the "Blow Ties" out of this otherwise great forum, huh? I can only laff so much at one time guys! ! ! ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO
