Louder Exhaust

I have a 89 F-350 with a 351 in it. I looking for the loudest sounding exhaust i can get for under 500 bucks. But if i have 2 i can do some of a labor myself 2 make it sound the best. Thanks

You can get true duals with glasspacks for about $250 around here..And its loud!

What are glasspacks? Are those a tpye of muffler?

well yes and no, they are long round tubes "usually 18-24long" they are stright thought with baffles and fiberglass, the fiberglass usually blows out after awhile and they become louder. The shorter length the louder and more crackle you will get, longer will be more of a rumble.

$500?? You can a really good system with that. Glasspacks will be the loudest, and they're cheap.

how would it sound if i removed the cat and put flowmaster 40's on it? does that sound decent? theres this place down the street from me that will do it for like 150..

no tru duals is when the pipes never connect right? no would have them come in through a h pipe but now im just thinking of leavin the cat on because i wouldn't pass inspection if i took it off. So im thinking bout puttin a 40 series on rite after the cat for 110 bucks

True Duals can connect with a crossover 'H' or 'X' pipe. It also means that you're running a pipe from each manifold/headers all the way back and they have their own muffler.

If you have emmission inspections, dont even think of removing the cats. This means your exhaust won't be loud either.

A way around this is to get a Hi-Flow cat.
