Does anyone know much about them, I saw one today it was pretty quick, but I'm sure the looks are better than the performance as a 1st gen ford lightning blew it away down the highway. They dont do bad for stock though.
anyone know the 1/4 mile time? the first gen lightning is pretty quick for natural aspiration, I'd assume the RB would have much better handling though.
i think the rumble bee is nothing special about it. Its a ram 1500 reg cab short bed with 20' wheels the 5.7L Hemi with a small resonating muffler to make it "rumble" No even sure if it is 4x4. Just a black truck with a yellow strip or a yellow truck with a black stripe......oh yeah and a bee on it.
Not doubting you, but I don't see anyway an old lighting is going to beat a new hemi, especially a RB. They're made to stomp everything.
sorry to say but the hemi's are not that fast, i have toasted a number of hemi dodge rams and just smoked a hemi durango the other day (i though it would be a little quicker than the big trucks, but i was wrong) now i am looking for a hemi grand cheroke to see how they run...

I'm guessing you have a PSD (my respects) but not all hemis are slow my best run so far has been a 13.99 in my hemi quad cab... just waiting for my tax return so I could get a supercharger and get into the 12's

Any stock 3/4 or 1 ton pickup regardless of the engine will get used by the 2005 G.C. 5.7L. I drove one, a 4x4, a few weeks ago and it had sports car-like acceleration. Truck Trend tested one and if I'm not mistaken they got 0-60 times down around 6.8s. Another car magazine I read a month or so back had it at 6.3s! That's pretty impressive for a stock 4wd SUV.
They list 0-60 times for stock Superduty 6.0s in the 8s range, depending on cab, bed etc so unless you spent some $$ and added some HP save yourself the embarassment. My stock F250's 0-60 is around 8.3s to 8.8s so I'll pass unless he wants to race me with 7500lb trailers behind both of us!
No, it is not. I know someone that has one. She likes it a lot and it is a nice looking truck inside and out.
Yes you can get them in 4x4. They actually have a fairly descent options list, but all of them are shortbed, standard cab.
My buddies ran 15.70's (4x4, without posi, so spinning for the 1st 100 ft)), so they are not a slouch. He just installed a LS rear in it, so it'll likely go 2 - 4 tenths quicker. One in 2wd would likely beat most 5.4's and likely the 1st gen lightning.
Also, the new Grand Cherokee with the hemi is running 14's. The hemi is no slow motor. 350 HP and similar torque.
