Auto hub help!!!

Ive got 4 manuals, and none of them describe my hubs. I have a 96 F150 4x4. It has a 5 speed with a manual transfer case. I need to put new rotors and wheel joints on it. The caps have 3 torx screws in them. When you take them off theres an aluminum looking roundish thing inside with 6 threaded holes. Im assuming its the original Ford auto hub. It doesnt look like theres any clips or rings up in the tube. I did see a small slot. There wasn't a spring or ball or seal under the cap. What now!
I havent seen any pictures of a hub like this.
P.S. Why doesnt this truck have a limited slip rear.
