Looking to get some mudflaps (splash guards) for my 04 cc f250 4x4 lariat.I bought the Husky molded ones but took them back once it put them up to my truck. Has anybody got the Ford molded ones? I like the looks of them on fords website. Any other brands I should be looking at? If anyone has some pics of there trucks with the ford flaps that would be great. I have been lurking on the site for about a year now and have learned a great deal. Thanks in advance.
check my gallery. I have one picture with a closeup of front mud flap. Sorry but the mud flaps on the full side shot doesn't show up very well. I actually cut about 2 inches off the rear ones because they were too long in my oppinion.

These aren't the Ford molded ones, but they are the Ford standard flaps. You can't really see them in these photos, / but these are the ones on Ebay. Search Ebay for item number: 7959528252 or these 4534707906, at a better price.
(anyone want to buy my tube steps?)
I like them over the molded ones because they flex and hang down longer. They're cheaper too. If you Ebay purchase, buy the one's for the Excursion. Seems that less people bid on them. But people do bid on the ones for the truck. I checked the Ford part number. The same for both rigs.
I like item # 7960872169 and 7960873943.

I've got the Ford molded mudflaps on my 03 F250 CC Lariat 48,600 miles. They have been on since new- The front flaps are fantastic...Really keep the truck clean. The rear flaps are decent but should be longer IMO so that no small rocks etc hit my big ol' beautiful boat
The Ford ones work and look great as long as you don't have wide tires. I run 12.5" wide tires and the factory mud flaps don't catch all the mud, snow etc. It's not the mud flap's fault though. I'd buy them again.
I put the Ford molded mud flaps on my '05. I think they look really good. I got my dealership to give them to me as I found out a few weeks after taking delivery that all vehicles in the State of Washington need to have splash guards that cover the width of the tire and down to the mid point of the axle. I called Ford directly adn then the dealer and I told them they sold me an illegal truck and was rpomptly offered a free set of mud flaps.
You think this will work in Virginia? I've got a 05, F350 Lariat SRW 4X with wheel well molding and the dealer wants $175.00 to install a full set. Do you know what brand they are using? The molding seems to be the wrinkle. Pep Boys and other auto supply places have molded flaps but they are for trucks with no molding.

I have them on my 05, look great, work well. No more stone chips in the boat.
Don't have the pictures updated yet.
Took me 30 mins to put on all 4. Had to drill 1 hole each for the rears and 1 hole each for the front. Rear hole was through the metal front hole was through the rubber/plastic wheel well gaurd. I think I paid $96.00 for both sets.
For the 05 they are only for use without the wheel well moldings. I have heard that there will be some later this summer for those with wheel moldings.
I am real happy with the Ford mudflaps. I installed them myself in less than 1 hour. The fronts work great at keeping the muck off my running boards. (The main reason I got 'em) The backs look Ok, I guess. I keep expecting to bust one off when I back into a stump....

I just purchased the OE Ford mud flaps and see what you mean about the back ones being to short. I may copy my friends Dodge. He has the molded mud gaurds and took some cheap flaps and cut them out to match them (attached on top of mud gaurds) and let them hang down about three inches lower. He attached them with stainless bolts and painted the exposed heads black.
I have the Ford molded mud flaps on my 04 250 CC 2wd and I really like them. I had the dealer add them as part of the deal but I think they cost about $50.00/pair. Also, they come in two lengths depending on wether you have 2wd or 4wd.
