Great MPG towing

Just got home with from picking up my 05 Mustang GT. I couldn't get any friends to come pick it up with me so I rented a trailer and towed that baby home. Total weight was about 5500# and I got 12.2 mpg. I did keep the speed at 55-60 mph but no problems.

Oh yeah the truck might have 300 hp but the Mustang feels like 500 hp by comparision. Cant wait for the snow to leave in CT so I can drive the damn thing.

Congrats on your new Mustang!

Bet it looked kinda cool to see an F-150 pullin' a shiny new Mustang.

I just wished I had gotten home a little earlier than midnight, so I could have taken a picture. But yea it did look cool and I got lots of glances.

That would have been cool to see. What colors are your vehicles? 12.2 mpg is pretty darn good. I was only getting 10 pulling my approx 4600# trailer. Then again, I think I was doing about 70...People around here drive super fast.

The F150 is Wedgewood Blue and the Mustang is Windviel Blue. When I get a cut I bleed Ford blue. Guess I just like blue.

Nice numbers. When I tow my 01 Mustang Bullitt, around 5500 lbs total, I get around 11.5-12 mpg doing 65-70, but that's with my 4.56s back when I was on stock 4WD tires. There's a lot less load on the motor towing with 4.56s....the best dang mod I could have done to this truck.
