Have you checked the vaccum diagram for your truck? There should be a diagram somewhere under the hood, or elsewhere or could even be listed on the web. Else, try a Chilton or Haynes manual.
What year and model is your truck?
I have a '92 F150 and the diagram is located on under the hood, and all my vaccum lines are connected or either they are snubbed off, with the the correct ends.
Wow, that's a clean engine. Anyway, that vacuum hose goes to the Canister Purge Solenoid. What's your Idle RPM's? I had knocked mine loose and idle was like 1000RPM.

Someone mentioned that they just blocked off that vacuum hose, and truck runs with no problems.
don't know what my rpms are have not got a tach but need to get one, was planning on getting a new cluster so that i could have one but they were so expensive where i checked in LMC. i did notice that when i put my finger over it, it idled down a little, so i might just plug it off cause i have not seen that canister before, is that something for pollution?
