I've been lurking and just wanted to say how-do. I teach Internal Combustion Engine Technology at Mississippi State University, and I find a lot of useful discussion on this site. I'll be posting as I have time.

maybe you can help me
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that is using off road diesel in the new 6.0l . I have a 2003 550 dump truck .I have had problems with the motor as well as the front end suspension . the truck has 23000 miles on it and it has been at the dealership 10 day in the past year . the other day the truck would not go over 55 on the highway .the dealership seems to think the problem was in the #8 cylinder .They claim it may be due to the fact that i run off raod diesel in the truck from time to time.I have never hear of such a thing . I feel it is a way for the local dealership from trying to get out of doing timely warranty repairs .If anyone out there runs off raod in the 6.0 or you know someone that does ,please send me some feed back.
