Hello All!
Howdy all!
I just bought myself a 77 F350 CC 4x4 and thought I'd chime in here and say hi!
It's in pretty rough shape (just retired as a plow truck in BC, Canada), but I plan to fix her up and make a capable offroader. I have a few things to ask you guys about too.
It has a 460 in it right now.. I'm thinking I'll either:
- Convert it to propane.. Has anyone tried upping the compression to 13:1 on propane.. does this help mileage?
- Put a cummins diesel in it from a 94ish dodge. I know people have done this.. I'm a diesel nut so ..
If I did this I'd consider an overdrive unit as it has the 4 spd in it.
I'd also like to build a lower exo cage (just around the front wheel well onto a rock slider under the rocker panel). Anyone know of any pictures of exo's on these trucks? I don't want it to look too ugly!
Anything else I should be concerned about? Want to get 36 - 40ish tires on there, flexy suspension mods etc. Steering problems in these old beasts?

OK, so I guess I lied.. it's a 76 F250 CC (I think.. it says 'F252' on the inner door).
Anyone know what this would have for a tranny, transfer case, and axels? Thanks!
