Wiring Woes....IV??
Still chasing a dream, as I have a little more time than I do money!!
1. I have a question about a picture in the shop manual...This will sound silly, but allow me to finish!!! On the picture of the instrument panel wiring in the shop manual, what is the circular item that is in dashed lines below the face plate in the lower left corner??? I am chasing the Bl-R wire down and for the life of me,I can't picture what this is!!!
2. On the head light switch picture(instrument cluster circuit), what do the capital letters in bold stand for??? ( A D B P H I R)
Maybe just too many pb blaster fumes from the previous day
, but I just don't see it!
I managed to find a not so monkeyed harness out of another 60, but I am still trying to trace EVERY wire down. I am in the proces of drawing up a complete diagram for the 60 model. I will share immediately the day it is done!!

my diagram shows the bl-r blue red band coming from the fuse unit and going to the ignition switch. -4speed edit: scratch that. Looking at harnesss right now. -4speed

Man, this stuff is so confusing, it seems all my harnesses have the lights in different places. Blue red band is a main cluster light(blubs right next to the speedo hole on the cluster). It then goes to the fuse block, and from the fuse block it hooks into something, just not sure what right now. -4speed

Can you scan the diagram and post it? More of us could possibly help but we don't happen to have a 59 or 60 wiring diagram.

AX hit that one - I have earlier schematics but I wouldn't hazard a guess about your year without the actual schematic for that year in my hands.

4speed,... You nailed it on the head !!! That something that it hooks into is what I am struggling with!!! From the fuse block to what??
Let me ask you this, on the other end, after the Bl-R passes the cluster lights, where does it go from there??(it would be on the left hand side of the guage cluster picture) It appears that there is a red single to double (female) connector on the Bl-r wire, but I cant figure what it is supposed to be plugged in there. Do these trucks have a below the dash interior light....I also thought maybe it was the power feed for the light in the radio, but mine doesn't have a radio!!
