Cool brake question?

i have noticed that when i apply my brakes that my front end is pulling really hard to the left. if i hit the brakes hard it will pull into the other lane if i don't counter steer. is this something to do with my calipers or is it not in the brakes at all. please help!

Have you pulled a wheel to check the brakes???

There is a couple of things that could be causing it,
No brake pads left
stuck caliper
contaminated pads
bad rotor, or needs to be turned

It also could be in the back, that will also pull, but not as much in the wheel.

All of the above and if you have a sway bar, the left side bracket failure.

Consider, for a moment that the problem may not have anything to do with the LEFT side at all. If the RIGHT side were not working properly, that is to say, not squeesing the rotor with the correct amount of pressure, it would cause the pull to the left. Just something to keep in mind. Good luck.

My bet is on a stuck caliper on the right side. That's what causes this behavior 90% of the time.

You may want to check radius arm bushings as well.

A good think also to ckeck is if you dont fint anything wrong up front, pull the drums, if one of the self adjust cables broke in the back, it will cause one brake to work better than the other, and will pull to.

The cables also freeze to, from rust.

Good luck.
