Adj. Rockers

Mite be a dumb question, but how exactly do I adjust my adjustable rockers. They are the comp roller rockers on my 390.

I don't know if Comp has any info on their site but you could use a ford manual, probably a Haynes or check the Crane site in the tech section.

Ok well I think I have a slight problem here. Ive backed my adjustment screws off my rocker arm on #1 cylinder, got it to tdc, and I can barely twist my pushrods. Now what am I missing, wrong size pushrods?

Where did you get your push rods from? And the number 1 is at TDC and the valves are closed, correct?

You're sure it's at TDC on the compression stroke?

Well I got the piston as far up as it will go without going back down, its on the stand still so i have easy access to all the cylinders. I got the pushrods from napa, they gave me a supposedly hipo set for a 390 gt. Said they would work.

If they gave you the ones for a solid lifter cam, they ARE too long. You want ones that measure 9.157". DSC has 'em.

well on a basic measure they looked to be 9 and 5/16 inch. or on a metric scale around 182 mm's. I really suck at math
