Well, I've decided that i'm going to go back out and start wrenching on my 82 f-150 w 302 and aod again. Its sat in the yard for almost 2 weeks now, i'm planning on rebuilding the ole motorcraft carb since its got a sticking float or something, and floods really bad. that and it won't hold its prime after a day, you shut it off..you have to fill one of the barrels *2bbl Stock Motorcraft* with gas for it to crank. Amongst other things, I've got to replace my front brakes and calipers again. They seem to keep seizing up on me..or drawing air into them somehow, because i got a tight pedal but pushing them is useless unless i press down on them with everything i got then it starts creeping to a stop. *2nd time i've redone the brakes* And it seems to keep killing the battery, Dunno why. i've pulled every fuse that i can and fired it up..and it still kills the battery every time. New alternator under the hood. I know it sounds like there is a direct short somewhere..but i've been through the electricals on this truck with a fine toothed comb...nada..can't find a single thing wrong with the wiring on the truck. Even did some wiring of my own to bypass the stock wiring *only on the radio though nothing else major* and it still does this...any clues or suggestions?? Maybe something i missed... Any Help is appreciated...
