Swapping Motors

Does anyone know if you can swap out a 5.4 gasser for a 2003 6.0psd in a 2001 f250? If so how difficult would it be? I am looking at a buying this 250 with a blown motor and I have a extra 6.0psd.

Thanks for all your help.

You are going to need a lot of parts and wiring. Gas to diesel is hard, gas to Power Stroke is real hard. To much computer stuff to have to wire in the gas truck. Transmission will not work, fuel system will not work, cooling system will not work, electrical system will not work, exhaust system will not work. Other than that it should be a piece of cake.

Of course it can be done. If you have endless money and time..I've done projects like that its amazing what comes up! I wouldn't even consider it and I'm pretty brave.
Save and buy what you want..My 2 cents

It may be easier and cheaper to swap in a cummins as their are kits for that. You could purchase all of the necessary wiring form ford, and all of the other parts, or find a possible junkyard donor, but, you would probably be better off buying a diesel truck.
