hes not worth you energy expended for revenge or retaliation. hes a manager at wendys, hes gonna be for the rest of his life. isnt that revenge enough. quit your job, wax your truck, pick up your girl go through the drive through and tell him how much you envy his life. it will probably **** him off more if you just ignore him ****ing with you. be the bigger person, a ****** like thats not worth it

"Chinese Proverb: He who takes revenge in less than ten years, acts in haste. First I would look for another job. When I found it I would not give notice, just quit after the last shift, the manager does not deserve the respect of a notice. Second I would write a letter to the president of the Company, outline what occurred and who was involved. If you have trouble writing it the way you want, have some one help you. Most politicians have professional writers, there is nothing wrong with that. A letter like that in their file is probably the best revenge you could take."

I like that post. As an old guy and a boss, I'd like to take that a few steps further:

1. You mentioned you were 17. The laws governing the employment of a minor are substantially different than for the rest of the working population.
2. Since you're a minor, that means your truck is likely registered in mom or dad's name. They have a right to expect that their property and child are in a safe enviornment while at work.

Sooo....your employer has an additional responsibility to keep his minor employee in a safe working enviornment. There are additional legal sanctions in place if they don't, and the burden of proof is lower. It's time to write a letter to management about the situation. It wouldn't hurt if a parent wrote a letter at the same time. 1. Describe what happened. 2. Demand that this incident does not occur again. Both the employee and the employees property need to be protected while at work, and the parents need assurances that steps are being taken towards that end. 3. Do not use the word discrimination- or even hint at it. It's a big word, with serious legal implications. Expect them to respond firing both barrels if you head down that direction.

Finally- you mentioned your grades could be better. Please try to do something about that- there's nothing dishonorable about working at a fast food place, but a good education opens doors to better options.

I have known adults who started in a fast food place - who in later years own their own business and are doing great. Because they remember how to treat their own employees like they wish they was treated when they was just starting out.. Keep up a good outlook and bring up your grades- you'll do well in the long run.

If it was done out of hate or spite, then do not do anything. Do not lower yourself to their level.

I have worked at dealerships where people would play pranks on other people.

When they smeared red axle grease all over my door handles, I forgot about it. Until a Sunday right before sunset. Then I went and removed everyone's value stem cores on the curb side, locked up the parts department, shut off the air compressor and pad locked the door, and smeared the same red grease on everyone's door handles. It solved a lot of problems

I think tossing stuff on someone's paint takes it too far. I do not know what would cause ANY manager to treat an employee that way, but, it is very unprofessional to say the least.

I would worry about what he does to a customer's food. That line of thinking should be put at the top of the corporate level chain and the liability that person brings to the franchise.

Ok, McFly what is the real story? Why don't these guys like you?? I wouldn't worry about the truck so much, you will live long enuf to get a dozen cars and trucks. I would be more concerned why these people thought they could do this to you, or what signals you are sending out that may have provoked an idiot to start doing what idiots do best. Size doesn't matter BTW, confidence, self-respect, and a little bit of street smarts go alot farther.

BTW, if you need to work so you can drive, then maybe it is time to park the truck, start studying and get straight A's. You can take the school Bus, it is free(I hope). I do not want to read about your less than brilliant education, I want to hear about you graduating with hhonors from college.

You guys are missing it all. You take the cutters mentioned above and snip a belt or two under the hood that way when they go to start it woops no go for them. Just Kidding
But on a serious note DO NOT DO THAT. Instead, file a police report, then go to corporate HQ with a copy and your pics and mention the fact that youd really hate to have to bring an attorney into the matter.

haha I work at Taco Hell too... It sucks...

I was lectured by the main manager for parking in the front of the building where the dumpsters are located at, I was extremely ****ed I had to park elsewhere I have *******s throwing beer cans and the rest of their trash into the back of my truck all the time. I then parked closer to the front and park at an angle to take up two lanes. (ricerish yes, i know but what can you do?) So now no one ever parks by me. At night I move my truck up by the front so I can keep my eyes on it. Almost every single penny I get from work goes into that truck, It's kind of sad actuallly. I've actually told my coworkers that if they prank my truck I will seriously beat the **** out of them.

Sorry for the language but I get real upset just thinking about any harm being done to my truck.

but hey I'm an 18 year old manager who would probably throw sauce at you as well. just not your truck.

At the very least I would tell them not to mess with your truck because you've worked hard for it etc... I would hope that would be enough to make them stop and realize.

Good Luck!

did ya **** off your boss by coming in late or putting soem kinda of screw up burden on them, my dad is a foreman of a cabinet shop, a couple of years ago a guy that was working for him got caught stealing tools while out on the job, and instead of calling the cops, he just took the bag off the dust collector ( like relaly fine saw dust)
and just let the boom blow it into his car window

it worked well he quit the next day, he just left and never came back, said he was going out to get his glassess and left

You said nothing happened as a result, right?

So:

A) quit this stupid job, park the truck if there's a bus and study up, as suggested already.

or

B) get used to it, as this is the kind of job you are going to have if you don't improve your academics, get more training or education, and it will be the only kind of job you ever get if you mess up your record trying to exact revenge.

Good luck, and to answer your question, file charges for what? A prank? No, don't file charges.

For one, if you press charges or write a little note for the cops for something like this, you look like a little girl.
even if you take hours out of your time to get them fired big deal, they get fired from a fast food place...what a loss. why dont you just cover their cars with pepsi on a hot summer day, it gets really sticky, or fill up a cup full of ketchup or hot sauce and toss on on their cars. I wouldn't let those two mess with me or my truck like they did yours. If they did that to me and i were in your shoes I would have gotten a full spit bottle out of my bed, get about 5 feet away from him and smack them in the face with it.

even if you do get fired big deal go to mcdonalds.

Listen to polarbear!!!!
The only word(s) that I would add are:
You are NOT being discriminated against. You are being harassed!!! Plain and simple. This is a big word with legal implications, too. Be careful using any of them.
As a minor, let your parents do ALL of the talking.
Bottom line. . . it appears that your manager is creating a hostile working environment.
You truly need to ask yourself - "Is all of this gonna be worth the time and effort for me to 'get' these guys jobs?"
Nah. Be more of a man than them.
Wash the truck. Wax it. Be peaceful in your life and know that they are miserable because you didn't fall into their little 'game'.

My 2¢.

Take care.

just lick some jolly ranchers and stick them to their cars, and cover their windows with wet newspaper. Put some canned fish under the door handles...and if its a truck put some under the bed liner. Then, shrink wrap their car...be sure to go under the car too. Then, pour either corn syrup, dish soap, KY, or Veg. Oil on top of the shrink wrap. Then, cover that with cake mix. That should teach them

When I had some employees to pull a Halloween yard rolling on me I told them I didn't get mad I just get even. Well, they thought that was funny, however, my get even was to take a piece of raw chicken and stuff it down the backseat crack. Made sure it was all the way down and out of sight. Took about 2 wks but their cars started smelling really bad on the inside. Took them another month to figure out what I had done. When they confronted me with it, my reply was "Now you have a Happy Halloween, ya hear". My yard didn't get rolled the following year!
