Transmission interchangeability
Hi, I have a 4 speed out of a 78 F100 2wd w/300 engine. I can't imagine that this bellhousing will bolt up behind the 351m that I would like it behind, but thought I'd ask. Is this bellhousing the same as any of the v8 bellhousings? If not, what will it take to mate this engine and trans? Thanks

The 351M has the big-block bellhousing (351M/400/460). The 300 has the small block bellhousing (300/302/351w/351c). You would need to find a big block bellhousing to fit it up behind a 351M.
