Same shocks... more lift?

I have a 3 in lift by pro comp... I want a 6 in lift.. SO I am going to buy one. My question is can I use these shocks for my 6 in lift or do I need new ones?

NOTE: I figured I probably do need new shocks for the lift... but I didnt want to buy new ones with out asking first.

Also How hard is it to install a lift kit? I have basic mechanic knowledge but I am only 17 years old and it will be my first time messing with any suspension.

If you have all the tools, patience, and a little help you can install a lift kit. You will probably need to have the truck aligned after you're done. It all depends on the kit and any special requirements. Yes, you need shocks with the prerequisite length and travel. Are you lifting for tire clearance or travel or both?

Im going to keep my 33's for right now.. but later get 35's.. THe previous owner bought the 3 in lift, and now after a month or two of driving it I have noticed the the right side is sagging... Bad spring... so I am just going to upgrade to a 6 in lift.
