wiring tach
i bought a tach at a swap meet and it didnt come with a wiring diagram. it has a red, green, and 2 black wires. i am not sure on how to hook that up to the coil on my 79. also the coil is differnt from what i am used to how do i hook the tach up into the coil?

there is a wire that goes to the positive of your coil
pop the cap off of your coil, becarefull not to break it, on the coil you will see + hook your wire to it or splice into the + wire at your coil

no, you never ever hook a tach wire up to the positive side of the coil it will burn up and not work one wire is ground one is hot that goes to the battery one goes to the negative side of the coil it will say tach test on that side and the light wire goes to any wire that is hot when the dash is lit.
