I am still not able to find a wiring harness to plug my Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller into my 05 6.0 SD. I thnk Ford caught Tekonsha napping on this one. Anyone know where to find a harness?
Do you have the pig taiil for the controler that's normally left in the glove box?
Speaking for an 04' only, if you have the tow package, that's where they leave it. If not, and you do/don't have the tow package, without the 'Ford' brake controler, then the plug for it is to the right of the steering column down low just behind the little cubby hole in the dash. Big hands will not be an advantage! If I remember right, it's a gray plug extending from the wiring loom.
If nothing else, drive on down to your local trailer shop and ask them to point it out to you. -then buy something from them. It's so easy, it's not worth paying shop time to have a Prodigy installed.

You'll need to remove the lower dash cover on the drivers side that covers the fuse box. The brake controller plug will be on the right side of the opening approximately under the radio. It's there, you may have to dig around a little.
I was able to remove the brake controller out of my old F150 and plug it directly in.

pullinbinder:
"the harness" you talk about in your glove box is the pig tail assembly you need to hook up to your aftermarket brake controller unit. The other end of the pig tail assembly plugs into the connector that's approximately located in the lower dash below the radio. You'll need to remove the lower dash cover (loosen the four plastic pop screws) on the drivers side. It also covers the fuse box (located on the left side). The brake controller plug will be on the right side of the opening approximately under the radio (behind the cubby hole). It's there, you may have to dig around a little.

Finally got one for 14bucks from Camping World. The problem was with Tekonsha-the 05 is different from the earlier models, the pigtail harness that connects from the brake controller to the factory harness plug is not the same for the 05 as the earlier models. Tekonsha finally produced and shipped the harness
