Adjusting Valves on a 2.9 V-6
I have a 1990 Bronco 2 4x4 and it has a 2.9 V-6 engine and I was wanting to see if anyone could tell me how to adjust the valves on this engine or give me some information on where I can find out how to adjust the valves....Any help would be appreciated !!!!!!

You need to set the lifters to 0-lash. You will probably need a 0-lash tool. Make sure the value you're adjusting is all the way closed. Once 0-lash is found, turn 1.5 turns.
When I rebuilt my engine I was in the same boat. I ended up just equally tightening each one until it was quiet. Made a big mess of oil. I think you'll have better results with the procedure above.
