FX-4 Exhaust ?'s

Has Anyone Heard Of Having Dual Exit Muffler On 03 Exp. When The Shop Had It Up On The Lift It Looked To Me Like You Could Fit 2 Pipes Along The Same Path As The Stock Path.i Bought A Flowmaster 40 Series Dual Outlet Muffler Because The Performance Shop Said It Should Be No Problem.but The Shop Guy Has Me Wondering If Its Going To Fit. I Want That Aggresive Sound And Know Dual Exhaust Is Out Of The Question Because Of Space.does Anyone Have Any Suggestions As To What Will Work And Sound Good.

I wouldn't put a Fowmaster 40 on it. Kinda aggressive, I thought about the 70 series. Heard a lot about it when researching for a V10. 70 Series is much more tame. Just my .02

In fact...almost TOO tame. I have a 70 series and only really hear it when I get on it. And actually can hear the intake howl from my Airaid more.

I had a 40 on my V10 and the drone sucked.

I would recommend a 70 if you have a family.

Thanks for the info. I want it loud. I found a shop that will do duals straight out the back the only thing is I will have to remove the spare. I dont think thats a big deal.

I put a 40 series with a single outlet 3 in pipe on my 01eb5.4. It sounds AWESOME!! It has a really throaty startup and idle, and a mellow but yet aggressive sound throughout the rpm range. There is ZERO drone on the highway. None. When you really get into it it sounds like a racecar!(to me anyway!) I was going to put the duals on mine as well, but my wife drives it mostly(incedently she does not share my love of the exhaust sound) and I didn't like the idea of her not having a spare on there.

I just got my 03 expy back from the muffler shop.Flowmaster 3" inlet dual 2 1/2" outlet running straight out the back. Sounds incredible and they were able to leave the spare there. Dont take no for an answer if you want 2 pipes on newer expy.My shop took it as a challenge and did the job. It looks and sounds great (pictures will follow)
