Need Help Diagnosing Brake Problem
My 86 F150 has a strange problem with it's brakes. The first time you press the pedal, everything works fine, but if you hold the brakes on, like at a stop light, the pedal will slowly sink torwards the floor (it never actually reaches the floor, but will sink 2-3 inches). If you let off of the pedal and press it again, the brakes work OK again.
Any ideas?

is there any air in the line? also chrck and see if the power brake booster is leaking it sounds as if your losing pressure some where along the line...in the booster possibly or maybe in the Porportuning Vavle I would check those things first and go from there God bless
